Welcome to Sandy Patch Ranch, our peaceful 9-acre working family farm located in Liberty, Texas — conveniently situated between Houston and Beaumont. We are now offering private access to our beautiful property as a photography rental venue.

Surrounded by mature oaks and pecan trees, open pastures, a scenic pond, and classic fence lines, Sandy Patch Ranch offers an authentic countryside setting perfect for natural light portraits, family minis, senior pictures, engagements, maternity shoots, branding content, and more.

Because we are a small-scale working ranch, the experience is genuine and natural rather than perfectly manicured. Expect tall grass in the meadows, working farm elements in the background, and plenty of versatile spaces.

Pecan Grove

Mature pecan trees with open grassy space underneath — excellent for dappled light, group sessions, and styled setups.

Mossy oak tree line along the front road

Mossy Oak Tree Line (Front Roadside)

Stunning mature oaks draped with beautiful Spanish moss along the fence line. These trees offer dreamy, ethereal lighting and natural framing. Note: Adjacent to a county road with a large ditch — extra caution with children and traffic.

Grapevine Arches

Romantic vine-covered arches in the mowed front yard area.

Front Yard Oak

Large, majestic oak tree with brick border in the mowed front yard — perfect for shaded, intimate portraits.

Scenic Pond Area

Peaceful pond located in the large pasture. Photography allowed along the banks only. Safety Note: No one may step on the bridge, enter the water, or get close to the water's edge.

Wood Fence

Long classic wooden fence with woods behind it — great for structured rural and leading-line shots.

Complimentary Styling

Props and Styling at Sandy Patch Ranch

We offer a variety of rustic and vintage props to enhance your session. Most props are free to request and are left out for you to stage however you want — just let us know in advance so we can have them ready when you arrive.

We only handle set-up for the styled options and props that have an additional fee. Because this is a working ranch, those sets and heavier props get moved around the property as we need the space — so they carry a small add-on fee that covers moving them to the requested location. We stage the styled sets; all other props are left for the photographer to stage.

This Month

Prop Usage & Responsibility

Please handle all props with care. You are financially responsible for any damage, loss, or excessive wear. All props must be returned to the designated area at the end of your session.

Rates

Standard Rate

$75 / hour

Barn access +$15 · Small or large booth moved +$10 · Wood bench moved +$10 · Monthly Styled Vignette +$15 · Christmas Set- Stock Trailer +$15 · Christmas Set- Cross and Manger +$15. $15 deposit locks in your booking.

Cancellations

24-hour notice required. Cancellations with 24+ hours notice receive a full refund (minus processing fees). Less than 24 hours: 50% charge. No-shows: full charge.

Weather

We are an outdoor venue. Light rain or overcast skies do not cancel sessions — many photographers prefer them. In cases of heavy rain, lightning, or unsafe weather, we will reschedule at no extra charge. No monetary refunds for weather-related issues.

Safety & Property

Stay in approved photography areas only. Children must be supervised at all times. Respect all rules regarding the pond, livestock, and roadside areas. Watch for uneven terrain, tall grass, and insects. Clean up after yourself and return all props.

Insurance & Liability

Photographers must provide proof of their own liability insurance (minimum $1 million) naming Sandy Patch Ranch as additional insured. A liability waiver must be signed by the photographer and all clients before access. Photography here is an outdoor activity — you assume all risks related to wildlife, insects, plants, terrain, and weather.
